Rew. F. Fwd

Canada, 1994 (MIFF 1995)

Director: Denis Villeneuve

Fact? Fiction? or documentary encased in the structures of elaborate fabrication In Rew F Fwd the haphazard images of memory, dream and reality can be recorded in a 'Black Box' so that experience may be scanned through (like a video recording) studied and psychoanalysed.

A traumatised photographer tries to discover why he has brought back images of a rotting dog carcass when he was sent to Jamaica to cover the 1976 Miss World pageant—so begins a Mark-er-esque inspired investigation of cultural constructs, white paranoia and media monoliths.
